SJSU Judo’s Junior (U21) Team partcipated in the 2026 USA Judo Youth Nationals located in Wichita, Kansas. This year, the SJSU Judo Junior Team is walking away with two medals from the IJF Junior divisions.

Male IJF Junior Results:

  • Trent Tono (-60kg): 7th

  • Shane Takara (-66kg): 9th

Female IJF Junior Results:

  • Iya Sadanchikova (-48kg): 1st

  • Melia Manning (-48kg): 3rd

Congratulations to Sophmore student, Iya Sadanchikova (-48kg), for directly qualifying for the 2026 Junior PanAmerican Championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
