Transfer Student Application
application Process
(1) Review SJSU Admission Requirements(link)
Review the Admission Requirements and ensure that all CSU requirements are met before beginning the application process.
This includes:
(1) Earning a high school diploma or equivalent.
(2) Completing required “a-g” high school courses with grades of “C-” or better.
(3) Meeting CSU minimum GPA requirements.
California Residents: 2.50=/<
Non-residents of California: 3.00=/<
(2) Review SJSU Application Deadlines(link)
Review Application Deadlines and submit your Cal State Application before the due date. Dates will vary based on semester of application.
Current 2025 Application Deadlines:
October 1, 2024 - December 2, 2024:
Cal State Apply application period. $70 Application fee due at time of submission.
December 2024:
Financial Aid (FAFSA and CA Dream Act) application available.
May 1, 2025:
Intent to Enroll deadline.
Nonrefundable enrollment deposit due.
Housing application deadline (if living on campus). $50 application fee, $300 initial payment.
End of Spring 2025 quarter or semester:
Complete admission and impaction requirements.
July 15, 2025:
Final official transcript(s) due, must include graduation date.
